Katya Karlova, a curve model, social media influencer, public speaker, and corporate executive, is making a difference in the world. Born in Chishinau, Republic of Moldova and raised in the United States, Karlova has used her life experiences and diverse cultural perspective to positively impact both sides of the ocean.
Karlova was a talented student, receiving her Bachelor's degree at UCLA and Master's degree at the University of London. During her studies, she researched and wrote her thesis on human trafficking in Eastern Europe, including her home country of Moldova. In the corporate world, she has built a successful career as a talent and leadership executive and sought after public speaker.
In 2019, Karlova was the recipient of a prestigious UCLA Alumnus Award and was honored to be a commencement speaker to the graduating class of 2020. However, behind the success, Karlova was struggling with mental health and body image issues for years. Coming from a culture where anything above a size four is considered too big, she faced constant criticism and developed a "Type A Overachiever" personality.
Despite these challenges, Karlova continued to fight for others and champion social causes. But it wasn't until she started embracing her own journey and body that she found true happiness. As a successful curve model, social media influencer, and vocal advocate of body positivity and mental health, Karlova is now inspiring others to love themselves just as they are.
Karlova has been featured in several prestigious publications, including Forbes, Maxim, OK! Magazine, Life & Style, LA Weekly, and Men's Journal. Her message of self-love and empowerment is one that we can all get behind, and her passion for making a difference in the world is truly inspiring.
